Kilo Lani yoga was founded by Hawaiian fitness guru and motivational speaker Alika Medeiros and brought to the mainland with the cooperation of his business partner Brian Rusch. Kilo Lani is a flowing vinyasa style that integrates yoga with the ancient wisdom and movement of the Hawaiian people.

The work yoga means "union in Sanskrit" and in Hawaiian, Kilo Lani means to reach or look to Heaven". Thus Kilo Lani is a union of the body, mind and spirit with the ultimate goal of reaching Heaven (or nirvana). Kilo Lani focuses on body alignment while building strength, combined with elements of Tai Chi and movements from the Hula. As in the Hula, there is an intense emphasis on core strength and hand placement. Much of the instruction focuses on breathing while maintaining balance. Kilo Lani yoga leaves you calm and refreshed, putting you in touch with your true potential while transforming your health and well being in the process.

Kilo Lani is available for all levels from beginners to those accomplished in traditional forms of yoga. Integrating formal Eastern practices with the ancient Hawaiian movements from the hula, Kilo Lani yoga fills people with Aloha and in turn, gives them the tools they need to "reach toward heaven".
